Over the course of three articles, I have talked about doing Literature Circles with my 8th-grade students. This lends itself to specific teaching of literary devices, text structures, and more!
First-year teachers can teach the class about the roles and expectations of a literature circle. I've found great bargains in the Tab Book Club that my high school students love.
